It certainly doesn't exist to a degree that explains even a fraction of autism rates. And the evidence suggests #vaccines may not cause encephalitis/encephalopathy at all. At the very least, preventable diseases are much more likely to cause it. If anything, vaccines decrease it.

No, I didn't. I understand you want to misread my comment that way, and I can't stop you. But that is a misreading. I explained that encephalitis is either not caused by vaccines at all, or caused extraordinarily rarely. That alone would kill the connection you try to make.

Let me start over, since you apparently got confused. 1. Not every medical condition is every other. Autoimmune reactions are separate from encephalitis. That's the first point.

      Replying to @doritmi @GingerTaylor and

      2. #Vaccines don't generally cause autoimmune diseases. They likely don't cause encephalitis either, but if they do, it's very rare.

The recent studies that looked at #vaccines and encephalitis found no link there. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22080172  on MMR/MMRV: http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/early/2015/01/01/peds.2014-1822 … The recent IOM study found no good evidence for a link. But since we don't have the kind of data on that as on autism, I'm being cautious.

No, again. I don't need to show you there's no giant teapot in space, and I don't have to prove any facially implausible story you want to come up with to persist in blaming your son's autism on #vaccines. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell%27s_teapot … Wanting to believe something doesn't make it so.

I can point to studies in millions and expert opinion. You can point to belief in an unlikely set of connections, studies that are off topic or junk, and a fraud by Wakefield. Pretty clear where the evidence is.
