I believe Twitter tweaks algorithms so that you mainly see the tweets of other accounts that are congruent to yours. If you want to understand other accounts, look at their timeline of Tweets & Replies.

Right, you only see the surface and bounce around. That fits into my point. Now you have to look at Tweets & Replies and engage directly and intentionally
-
If you go to settings > contract preferences > uncheck show best tweets first, it reverts too the original chronological ordering if old Twitter...
-
Thanks! But Yeah, with that I worry that I'll miss so many tweets that I like, lol. I'm a willing slave to the algorithm!
-
Yea kinda unless if you follow more than 100ish people.

-
Yeah, I value diversity of accounts. Would be hard to unfollow people en masse. Especially if they follow me too
-
I understand the logic of people following <100 accounts, just follow the highest quality or whatever. But I prefer the buzz of confusion and trying to pick out signal from noise. I think a lot of signal will be missed by just following the "quality accounts"
-
My secret is that I rely on people like you to filter the noise for me! AI algorithms got nothing on a Jason!
-
Hehe, glad to be of service!
