    I was in a conversation*this year* w/ many people in the room &one guy asked if he could rescind a job offer if he found out a candidate was pregnant. In my early 20s I was told that if I got engaged, don’t wear the ring to interviews to better my odds. This is *present day.*

    I love how McConnell is saying “since you’re impeaching, NOW we’re not going to pass bills.” What does he mean, now? Mitch McConnell hasn’t done a damn thing all year. He literally brags that his office is a graveyard. We passed gun safety in Feb & he STILL hasn’t held a vote.

    A thread about empathy. It is true that SOME autistic people struggle with empathy cognitive, effective, or both. But this is NOT true for ALL autistics. Some experience typical empathy, and many are even hyper-empathic. I want to talk about how autistics may EXPRESS empathy.

    Impeachment doesn't remove a president from office. Remember that President Clinton was impeached. Removal is up to the Senate and it needs a 2/3 majority. It's a nice thought, but by far the surest way to change the White House is to support your favorite candidates, then vote.

    coming out as disabled is a multi-layered process. People have such a rigid view of what that means. I don't know how many times I have heard, "oh, I thought you were in, you know, a tiny wheelchair." Having to come out about each facet of disability is very real.
