  1. Republicans tried to suppress Black urban votes. Then Republicans tried to throw out Black urban votes. Now Republicans want to simply ignore Black votes. White supremacy is the GOP’s most consistent motive and tactic — and that should frame all news coverage about their party.

If you, a powerful media gatekeeper, ever find yourself using that power to tell people with less clout that their entirely legitimate critiques of *bad work* are hurting people’s feelings well then you are a powerful media gatekeeper having a normal one.

  6. There’s a 9/11 of new dead every day at this point but every one of the top stories on Fox News’ home page is Republican posturing. You don’t get to record-setting covid deaths until 8 screens down, the 21st article. Here are their “top stories” while Americans die en masse.

Did I miss all the stories about the 78 million Biden supporters who triumphed — and their wants and needs — and how rural-centric Trump supporters need to reach out and understand the massive urban/suburban majority in America?

  14. Blatantly lying about the election to seize power and ignoring Americans who suffer and die in a pandemic isn’t “Trumpism.” It’s just regular old “Republicanism.”

We begin healing when we have had the courage first to diagnose and confront the depth of the illness and what we need to make true healing possible. So please, no bromides now. Because we are not out of danger.

Easy to mock and is stunning to see, but it really illustrates the dire financial state of many news orgs. This ad is probably crucial to paying salaries and printing — how facts are delivered. Support your local news org and demand change from the Google/Facebook ad duopoly.
