A friend in need is a friend indeed - U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Volcano Disaster Assistance Program (VDAP) is providing PHILVOLCS with remote imagery and geodetic sensing data to assess the current activity and additional information on potential future eruptive activity.

USGS remote sensing staff are tasking all available satellite sources to monitor Taal Volcano as the highest priority. USGS will also provide an infrared camera and infrared monitoring equipment to PHILVOLCS to help it remotely assess volcanic activity. Salamat, 🇺🇸!!
