Trump can come to Congress and say “I’m guilty, and so are half of you,” and leave. There’s your State of the Union.

There’s been many instances of acute hypocrisy and inconsistency in this impeachment process. People who said one thing during Clinton impeachment saying exactly the opposite now. But good Lord. Ken Starr arguing against impeachment and quoting Martin Luther King, takes the cake.

Thanks to & managers for making the case against a corrupt president. If you had a fair jury, the verdict would be a swift guilty. But the last word will not be from the Senate, it’s from every American.

Trump’s guilty. Raise your hand if you agree. If you don’t agree, then it’s time for you to wake up and pull your head out of the sand. He did it. All of it. Everything.

The most Criminally Corrupt President in US history has committed the Impeachable offense our Founders were most afraid of: An unchecked POTUS using his power to pressure a foreign country to win an election. A Senate acquittal=A Criminal POTUS can never be held Accountable.

We have impeachment for a reason: For a man who would sell out his country for a political favor, Who would threaten the integrity of our elections, Who would invite foreign interference in our affairs, Who would undermine our national security, For a man like Donald Trump.

“Make no mistake: The Senate may acquit Mr. Trump, but it will not, it cannot, exonerate him. Mr. Trump is the most corrupt president in modern times, a reality Americans will continue to be reminded of ...”

Can we please all agree that this experiment of having a dumb TV host and shady real estate developer with no government knowledge, 5 kids from 3 marriages, 6 bankruptcies, 46 charges of sexual assault, and 35,000 lawsuits as president is not going well at all?

As I told the reporter, I am absolutely not running for President. Any report otherwise is categorically false. I’ve been proud to campaign with my good friend Joe Biden, who is going to win the nomination, beat Trump, and make an outstanding president.

Could someone send Joni Ernst a tape measure? I plan on redecorating her office after I defeat her in November and could use some measurements.

Senators should have insisted on a fair trial with documents and witnesses. They chose not to. Some argue, let the election decide — But that argument is unpersuasive when the President is trying to cheat in 2020.

Schiff's closing argument in the Trump impeachment trial was one for the ages. Would not surprise me if it's taught someday as the seminal opposition speech from this era in presidential (and Republican party) history.

We proved our case. Republican Senators now admit Trump is guilty as charged. Still, they blocked witnesses from testifying, and deprived the American people of a full accounting of Trump’s misconduct. Senators will now render judgement – and be held accountable for it.

History will not be kind to Donald Trump. Because truth matters. Right matters. And decency matters. It may be midnight in Washington, but the sun will rise again. I put my faith in the optimism of our Founders. You should too.
