3/5 The plan is for the new area to rely 100% on reclaimed water by 2030, an issue made more pressing due to a drought this year. Earthquakes are a major issue in Taiwan as there are sometimes dozens of small ones each day. TSMC has handled this issue for decades.

4/5 But the eco task force asked park officials to reassess response plans to a big earthquake, as plans are lacking, also a new geological fault assessment. (Note: Liquefaction assessments are also required in most of Taiwan - for an earthquake so bad that land liquefies.)

5/5 The eco task force also tasked the park to provide a waste treatment plan and preservation plans. They must protect the Keya Creek restoration area, preserve green spaces, reduce tree removal, transplant rare plants/trees, and (specifically) butterflies and plants they eat.
