Провів розмову з американським колегою та другом Ентоні Блінкеном. Протягом тижня дипломатичних контактів з РФ, Україна та США залишаються єдиними у прагненні деескалації завдяки дипломатії та силі. Ми продовжуємо тісно працювати разом над стримуванням РФ від подальшої агресії.

Spoke today with my American counterpart and friend @SecBlinken. Amid the week of diplomatic contacts with Russia, Ukraine and the U.S. remain united in seeking de-escalation through diplomacy and strength. We keep working closely together to deter further Russian aggression.

Час називати речі своїми іменами. Путін вимагає від США, НАТО та ЄС визнати сферу впливу Росії, до якої належали би суверенні сусідні держави. Але Холодна війна давно завершилася, а разом із нею — сфери впливу. Вимоги Путіна неправомірні та загрожують міжнародному миру і безпеці.

Let’s call a spade a spade. Putin demands the U.S., NATO & the EU to accept Russia’s sphere of influence over sovereign neighboring states. But the Cold War is over, and so are spheres of influence. Putin’s demands are illegitimate and harmful to international peace and security.

Great call with @SecBlinken following today’s NATO ministerial. Good to know there is a strong sense of solidarity with Ukraine among NATO allies. We coordinated positions of Ukraine and the U.S. ahead of diplomatic engagements with Russia next week, discussed bilateral agenda.

I fully share the point @JosepBorrellF made at our press conference in Stanytsia Luhanska: ‘There is no security in Europe without security of Ukraine. It is clear that any discussion on European security must include EU & Ukraine. Any discussion on Ukraine must involve Ukraine’.

No decisions about Ukraine without Ukraine. On January 10th I will visit Brussels for a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Comission. Part of a wide diplomatic effort to deter further Russian aggression.
