    I worry about risk of nuclear escalation. Can we assume Russians would see SLBM launch as W76-2 and not misinterpret it as strategic aimed at, say, Moscow? Especially if used in Baltic scenario? Calls for much confidence in Russian early warning/data interpretation capabilities.

    The US now has a credible retaliatory option we can effectively deliver in the event Russia employs a lower yield nuclear weapon. This *increases* the effectiveness of US deterrence thereby *decreasing* risk of war.

    Enough with the feigned outrage. You know what’s offensive? Every time cozies up to military families for political gain. I think back to the Vietnam War when our generation served, and Trump took advantage of five deferments. That’s what’s actually offensive.
