In the entire Apple Environment 2019 report (almost 90 pages), “AirPods” is only mentioned once. It’s a little weird, given that it’s the most popular Apple product right now.

Bloomberg Green Data Dash is a good way to monitor all the metrics about climate change. That graph about Carbon Clock is impressive (if you compare it to older data😳)

We definitely need a sort of Little Snitch for iOS.

As user interface developer I’m the first to tap and/or click compulsively every interactive element in very short time. It’s an edge case, of course, but the interface *must* hold that level of stress without breaking itself.

There’s a vacuum of design criticism because “design thinking” doesn’t offer a framework or vocabulary for criticizing capitalism, and most culturally significant digital design at the moment is the rendering of raw capitalism.

Another way: don’t design company-branded swag at all. Personally I've never felt the need.

A new web experiment with multiplexed variable fonts: Changing the font-weight of elements depending on their position in the viewport. Stuff at the top of the viewport = font-weight:700. At the bottom = font-weight:200. Scrolling and resizing changes each element accordingly.

Nice to see new creative tools designed exclusively for touch devices. This one seems lovely and fun.

This is actually just a small part of the entire work. As architect and designer he considered the entire computer as kind of “electronic landscape” (at the time, computers filled the entire room)

Is still possible to build an online community outside the social media circle (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc…)? No, not Slack.

i very much approve this approach. building websites is very different from graphic design in the sense that it concerns itself with building functional infrastructure. more holistic views are required. acknowledging infrastructure is a good first step.

Building a mobile slider with the new `scroll-snap-*` CSS properties is easy peasy. Here’s a quick example with irregular item widths (with native inertial scrolling preserved): ⤷ (try it on mobile Safari/Chrome, latest releases)
