Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. - John Adams, 2nd President of the United States

Sessions was not fired because of policy disputes. When it came to policy on crminal justice there was no daylight between Trump on Sesions, There is only one reason for Trump to do this and we all know what it is.

Trump is such a coward he didn't even call Sesssions himself to ask for his resignation. Just like what happened with Rex Tillerson, he had CoS Kelly do it for him.

This is how authoritarian dictators do business. And now that Trump has a larger obsequious bootlicking GOP Caucus in the Senate, there's no stopping him from being an Uber-Nixon

Republcians and Democrats on Capitol Hill should stand united on the idea that the Mueller investigation must be allowed to run its course no matter how long that takes. Republicians, of course, will not do this

If Trump does use the Sessions firing to go after Mueller, what will so-called "conservatives" say or do? Nothing. That's what they say and do. Not a damn thing.

They should. They won't. They'll be obsequious little bootlickers.

And just like with Trump's attacks on the free press, the reaction of the right to what is obviously Trump's attack on the Rule of Law be like ----- ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And raises an intereesting idea. If Trump tries to fire Mueller, there is nothing preventing the new Democratic House from hiring Mueller and his team to continue the investigation on its behalf.

Nobody who cares about the Rule of Law and Separation of Powers should be happy about this. Especially since Trump's intent here is blindingly obvious

Sessions was not perfect, but it is clear that firing him is part of Trump's continued effort to undermine the Russia investigation.

Sessions was fired, this was not a voluntary resignation.

Americans have elected a very damaged and disordered personality to be their president. It's not the first time a personality like this has been given power, it usually doesn't end well though.
