But Hannity keeps saying that he's NOT Cohen's client. And if Cohen never rep'ed him and no money changed hands, he isn't. So why did Cohen CALL him a client and drag him into this?

Because Hannity was a client; they were trying to keep it a secret bc they know that Cohen was raided and is under investigation and that bc Hannity is Trump’s friend it would look suspicious that Hannity also used him as a lawyer & is somehow part of Russia conspiracy

I too regularly ask my attorney friends for free advice but strenuously insist attorney client privilege is being established for my not at all shady dealings.

Fine. If that's all that happened, then Hannity was not Cohen's client. In that case, their communications aren't privileged. Cohen's prosecutors can look at them all day long. But they won't find a thing, right? So there's no problem.

Payment to an attorney does not in and of itself establish an attorney-client relationship. This matches up with Sean’s frequent lack of precise understanding of matters. He is a bit like Trump. Sean frequently gets the general direction correct, but the details need work.

Some people are just not detail oriented. Sean shows this when he frequently interrupts his guests at the exact wrong moment when they are about to say the most critical thing. Sean is very good at many things, but details are not his forte.

If there had been any significant payout from Hannity to Cohen for anything at all.....it would have been leaked out to every news organization already. Hannity frequently mentioned on his show that he knew Cohen for years as a friend.
