This is a specific pet peeve of mine but Persian is referred to as "Farsi", whereas Dari does appear if you type "Persian".

I was unable to enter free text into the "school" field, but a number of institutions are missing, e.g., and which applicants might have reasonably attended if they're quantum researchers. Both and appear multiple times though.

So I went through the application process just to see and I have a couple of comments. Primarily, it seems that the dropdown fields are prepopulated with values previously entered by other people, but don't allow freeform input. For example, these values are oddly specific:

Targeted ad? (Yes, I clicked through out of curiosity. No, it has nothing actually to do with quantum computers. But good for whatever spammy ad company figured out I'm interested in quantum computers, I guess.)

Does anyone outside of Switzerland or who is not Swiss refer to Albert Einstein as a "Swiss scientist"? I've always heard German-American (or some combo of Jewish/German/American depending on context) but apparently in Switzerland he's just Swiss.

If you want to build an inclusive society, then build an inclusive society through your actions. That's much more important than having every citizen understand quantum computing.

The problem with any prerequisite for voting based on tests is that it will certainly be manipulated to political advantage to disenfranchise minorities. Age is at least fair: everyone ages and you can't cheat at it.

The latest Cirq release (v0.7.0) has a number of major changes.

Really? I wonder if it's IP- or country-locked? From Switzerland, at least, it leads to the product page for Swiss army knives with USB drives. You can also reach it by just searching for "USB" on the main site.

Pretty sure you can still incapacitate a grown man using one of these Swiss thumb drives.😉

Yup, that's Qiskit text mode. I actually also have the same circuit running in Cirq.

  15. 13. sij

This seems clear when you look at the circuit visually. You can simplify the circuit so that Bob does nothing. Since he makes no observation, how could one then infer anything based on his observation? Does anyone else see this in the same way?

But that seems not to be the same one as the one from the Sammelaktion (shown in this image)?

The correct translation of "رنج کشیدن" is "to suffer". "رنج" could mean "violence", but only in the sense of "suffering". This is a very bad mistranslation and needs to fix this.

PSA: The official language of Iran should be called "Persian" in English. Calling it "Farsi" is like saying "Deutsch" or "putonghua". Also, Persian is an Indo-European language and is not related to Arabic despite being written in the Arabic script.

Who decided that this shower should be controlled by touch sensors which don't detect your hands when they're wet? 😒

Me, at various Iranian sites presumably on Trump's target list.
