    “Are you here?” “Hey, can I ask you a question?” Eliminate unnecessary roundtrips. Ask the question right away.

    I strongly prefer it when people don't send a "hi" ping in chat/teams/whatever and then wait for a response. Instead, I prefer they just chat me the question and I'll get to it when I can. The whole "hi"...wait... "hi back"... <someone is typing slowly FOREVER> drives me nuts.

    The same goes for the use of stairs on roofs, pressure plates for tabletops, and more. Though, none have been as much of a pain in the ass to me personally as trapdoors.

    Aside from being pathetic, the lack of separation of decorative blocks from functional blocks makes the problem of area protection much more complex than necessary, because it's difficult to tell the difference between a decorative trapdoor and a functional one.

    I've long thought it's quite ridiculous that Mojang uses blocks like trapdoors for decoration in their own game. This isn't some third-party build team improvising within existing limitations.

    The fix has side effects, so it won't be possible to make this a configuration option; however, it is possible to prevent removal of client-sided packs without breaking anything else.

    The long standing issue of force-resources overwriting client-sided global packs has finally been identified. Expect a fix in an upcoming release.
