Because people have asked: I use Reeder (which is a paid app) synced through a feedly account (which is a free service). I have purchased Reeder for Mac and iOS and have happily used it on desktop/iPhone/iPad. It's great.

Feedly by itself (checking your feeds in a web browser) is only a so-so user experience, but works in a pinch if you are away from your computer/phone/tablet with Reeder on it.

I use feedly and then I pipe that feedly account into Reeder. Reeder is a really, really excellent RSS reader (on Mac and iPhone and iPad), but does cost money. The reason it goes through Feedly first is for when I'm away from my own computer and want my reading to sync.

I do similar, but use Unread instead of Reeder. I can’t recommend Unread enough for iOS, esp on iPhone X.

It certainly /works/, but I have been fairly disappointed with its UI and reading experience (lots of little annoyances). That said, I've used used Reeder almost exclusively since the post-Google-News revision was pushed out in 2014, so raw feedly may be better now.

And I'm sure there are plenty of non-Reeder RSS browsers on Android I'm simply not aware of.

God I hope it never goes away. I still use RSS.

A lot of the pressures that would have ended RSS actually have now gone away with the Facebook algorithm change.
