Sanders--whatever you may think of his supporters or whatever critiques you may have of specific policy positions he holds--is committed to leading a government that serves all the people again rather than the 1% served by Trump.

None of these things are Trumpist. In fact, all of these are policy propositions supported by not just the vast majority of Democrats but the vast majority of Americans. They are views that have been core to the Democratic Party for almost a century.

For those who say Bernie is sure to lose, that is also nonsense. He does well in poll after poll vs. Trump and in the most recent swing state poll does almost identically to Biden and Bloomberg. Moreover, he can mobilize new turnout among the young, Latinos and other key groups.

Set the labels aside. Stop with the scare tactics. Bernie is not only a Democrat but he has been leading the way for Democrats on key issues for years. Further, presidents do not govern alone. They do so with their parties, with the Congress.

Bernie, like Warren, has the advantage that he will push for big ideas rather than negotiating with himself before even entering into a discussion with the Hill. But it will be the entire party that collaborates on the final outcomes.

The scare tactics about Bernie serve only Trump and the tiny fraction of the richest and most empowered Americans to whom he is beholden. Bernie is not a perfect candidate. Support whom you believe in most. But if he ends up being the candidate, not only can he win...
