New , a thread: THE HARDEST GIFT The terror of the gift is the willing to be taken in the taking opened in the opening. There is nothing casual about it. Even from the first that all the gods gave us were holes and the endless quests to fill them is no different.

Modern Greek στοργή ("affection") derives from ancient Greek στοργή ("love, affection"), from στέργω ("show affection, love"). στοργή is first attested in the fragments of Empedocles (5th c. BCE). Cicero used it in a letter addressed to Atticus (1st c. BCE).
