Excited to have Xulu’s research appear! During motor learning, neural preparatory states shift along new skill-specific dimensions in a way that doesn’t simply reflect the changes to behavior. A ton of careful training, ephys, and analysis went into describing this novel effect.

This is absolutely beautiful work by . Final version is very compelling! You guys continue to reassure me that diving into rodent motor control for my postdoc is the right move for understanding the distributed circuitry of dexterous control. Congrats

Check out release V1.0.0 of openEyeTrack, our open source high-speed, multi-threaded eye-tracker. openEyeTrack can provide eye tracking at ~700 frames/sec for < 1000 dollars. We are currently validating it in behavioral experiments.

High-fidelity model provides evidence at both behavior and neural levels that Fitts' law arises not only from execution noise (as commonly believed), but also as a consequence of motor planning variability. Thx , , S. Delp

"The tax system in the United States has become a giant flat tax — except at the top, where it’s regressive. The notion that America, even if it may not collect as much in taxes as European countries, at least does so in a progressive way, is a myth."
