I watched the show. It was a warm and compassionate send off to the Roseanne character while spotlighting the impact of opioid addiction.

I missed the damn thing, I went in kitchen and came out, it was over. Hall hour with commercials isn't long enough. Can you tell me what happened? I know they said overdose but how did the whole thing go?

The show began after the funeral. It focused on the family aftermath of the overdose. Blaming a neighbor for giving Roseanne pain pills. Jackie coping by "cleaning" their house and organizing mindlessly. Darlene showing Dan more of Roseanne's pill stash.

The family coming to the realization and truth that nobody could tell Roseanne what to do. Dan helping his homosexual grandson figure out which fellow student he should pick to be his bus partner was funny and heartwarming.

They did a great job without becoming morbid. The tone was respectful but with humor, as in life @TheConnersABC
