DA’s don’t represent victims, they represent “the people”.

2 seconds of googling. Surely the DA’s himself should be held to a at least the same standard as victim advocate https://cacnc.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/NACPCodeOfEthics.pdf …

Dude, the victim is not the DA’s client. Maybe you need to spend more time than two seconds Googling. This isn’t some big secret.

Dude, I’m not talking about Attorney Client Privilege. Confidentiality and ethics don’t end there. U telling me it’s not weird at all to see a victim outreach office putting an email with a victim onto twitter?

No not weird. Amanda put her name, identity, & circumstances out to the public voluntarily & the DA’s office did not reveal any of her confidential or privileged information. Chesa simply provided proof of the DA response, which was conveniently left out by the reporter.pic.twitter.com/uAzW4WSFSZ

So the da’s desire to defend himself in the press is more important than his duty to protect a victim. Pathetic

I mean the starting point here is victim vs DA. This is not going well.

In my experience, DA’s & victims are more often at odds than not. Which is absolutely an issue but also a byproduct of an adversarial system where wholistic healing is not prioritized. As far as the email goes, I really don’t see your issue. Transparency is a good thing.

I’m sure you do see the issue, but the movement is more important to you. Confidential and private communications should always remain in full control of the victim without a compelling reason otherwise. Don’t bs about transparency. He’s just trying to defend his image

And you’re just trying to tear it down. Sharing out a response isn’t sharing a confidential communication. Amanda put herself and her story out there, the DA’s office responded with the part of the story left out. That’s it.
