we haven't been notified of these errors for a while though. there is a bug in the slack plugin for our monitoring system. someone wrote the plugin during the previous hackathon, but everything has been on fire since then.

i would fix this myself, but one of my editor extensions was just updated. consequently the editor keeps crashing whenever i open javascript files.

it's weird ... nobody seems to remember a time when most of this stuff actually worked. but everyone seems to hold out hope that some day it will all calm down. or they have given up; there is a fine line between the two.

as it turns out someone has made an incorrect change to our puppet config, which caused the ssh keys to change. git reset --hard HEAD~1 && git push origin master --force
