Im just gonna casually remind y'all about the black cosplayer Darrien Hunt who was shot 4x in the back by cops while he was in a costume because he had a fake sword

It's not a real sword And 12 year old Tamir Rice was shot in front of his sister and mom for playing with a toy gun, in an open carry state So pray tell, how will open carry laws suddenly start protecting Black people from the police when it hasn't worked yet?
Open carry, though, doesn’t mean chsase people in public with a weapon, real or fake.
NOT ONLY is that NOT what the cop said, the ONLY person we have ANY evidence getting chased is Darrien Hunt who was, AGAIN, shot in the BACK. There's what the cop said, &then there's what the video shows You wanna be a racist fuckface, go do it in someone else's mentions
White people have pointed guns in cops faces and lived to see their families again, sometimes they even see the inside of a court room. Darrien was not given the same. And idgaf how you want to spin it- you're a shit person.
So has those of every race. In the 1980s we had an officer who lost a lung from a shooter get a citation from city council woman Diane Ragsdale for NOT shooting the suspect. + anyone who took a CCL class can tell you waving a gun around still isn’t legal under right-to-carry.
And in the last 2 years, we've had police shootings goddamn near every day It's not the 80s anymore That's not fucking relevant
And "waving a gun around" The examples in question were -a young adult with a sword, not a gun And - a 12 year old With a toy On a playground So again Your example is irrelevant
Lastly! Why are you defending the murder of citizens acting fully within their rights It's not illegal to carry a toy weapon in public
I would say it was an argument for better trained and accountable law enforcement officers.
Even if what the cosplayer was carrying was somehow illegal, he should have been arrested, AT MOST, but instead he was murdered
