Rape culture is complicated. The 'Rapture' — the second coming of Christ — shares the same root as 'rape.' It seems it was even used in that way, roughly. In short, the experience of Rapture will be the experience of being raped by God. The Christian lusts for this experience.

Literally 15 minutes of research could have helped op not jump to make such convoluted arguments... Rape and rapture are cognates and share latin roots, but rape didn't always mean sexual ravaging. So the frase "rape and pillage" refered to plundering done by invaders.pic.twitter.com/2gFLRpZyZ7
