very recent events beg the question...
when and how did Nadine Wellwood piss off Rob Anderson?

TRADITION | Friday nights in this Calgary law firm, it was part of their heritage: happy hour at Booker's, drinks at the St. Louis, Brocket 99 impressions for the cabby, pass out on Dan McLean's couch. Now the Trudeau- Singh- Notley coalition wants to take that all away. #ableg

For too long, the provincial government has ignored the legitimate concerns of families, communities and teachers. Join us to put a stop to this disastrous curriculum!

The Health Ministers conference was doomed to failure. The Premiers had decided to use it as an opportunity to grandstand days before it even started. Pathetic.

Why don’t we do reality tv show called Climate Court, put various climate offenders on trial & we can vote like on The Voice from our smartphones & have perp walks & everything. Be huge. Not saying executions, just, you know, public shaming of folks like Brett Wilson. #cdnpoli

Just how much damage can a Smith government do before they're voted out in the next election?
Please don't answer that...

Ric failed and then blamed other people. Seems on brand for Alberta politicians.

The Smith government will re-index AISH, income supports and seniors’ benefits to inflation - but we don’t know when, and it’s not retroactive #ableg

But you were the ones who de-indexed it in the first place. So congratulations on fixing the thing you broke.

Really appreciated a glimpse into the historical voting patterns. So the 73% for a conservative candidate in 2019 (61 Glasgo/Frey + 12 Beasley) is now dropped to 55%…and NDP 18% 2019 increased to 27%. Official party stats: 61 to 55 - a real drop in support for a party leader.

I still think it’s ridiculous that my riding, Calgary-Elbow, was vacant before this MedHat by-election and will remain so long after. It’s not right to selectively call by-elections. #ableg

Oh, the voice of experience, eh? Maybe you didn't try hard enough, Cory. Or maybe he just wasn't into you. Did you identify yourself as journalist or just cozy up to him at a music festival?

Ottawa’s starting to piss me off on health care funding. Make an offer to BC—they’re not cutting taxes, they’re spending their brains out on health care, doing innovative things, so make them a bloody offer & make Smith & Ford wait! Quit playing games with friends. #cdnpoli

this is but the first skirmish in a short, bloody war, amirite? that is, as the TBA-backed Board asserts firmer control of the UCP, we'll see Wellwood's disqualification overturned and other nominations re-opened?

The last time the @albertaNDP won a provincial by-election was in Edmonton-Highlands on June 12, 2000. @bmasonNDP would be re-elected in 2001, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2015 before retiring in 2019.

I don’t like to weigh in on nominations b/c I agree it’s important to let the members decide who represents them. However, our party cannot be open to people who spew such toxic and hurtful rhetoric. Glad the UCP DQ’d this candidate & I’m confident it will be upheld. #ableg

I’ll admit, leaving a former socialist paradise with oil to a current socialist paradise with wine does have a certain appeal.

Semis max 100/km/hr just like in many EU countries & right lane only, no passing. Also public transport like EU, who just added a night train system all 27 EU countries agreed on to their already EXCELLENT public transport system!

Callaway now advocating for oil-by-rail to Hudson's Bay after the UCP ran on oil-by-rail as a "billion-dollar boondoggle" is just a reminder how conservatives just flail on policy
