For the record, please don't take my dislike for this campaign as a means to attack individuals who are involved in it. I think the #bullyhunters campaign came from good intentions which got lost along the way.
Women in gaming are sometimes treated differently based on their gender, especially on Twitch and I think those involved wanted to do something against that. I think it was just handled poorly and wasn't well enough thought out.
So, that being said, let's make an effort to be nicer to our fellow peers in gaming. Gaming has been a massive escapism in my life that I used to deal with the bullying and tormenting I received growing up, so let's try not to drag down our gamespace with that hate.
I can't speak about anywhere else, but here in the United States, it seems like we have a proliferation of boys and man-children (regardless of actual age), and a gross shortage of Men. It's disgusting and embarrassing, really.
