This. This is why I've never cosplayed, I'm too much of a perfectionist and would be angry/upset if it came out looking bad!
I have this problem too with cosplay. I don't yet have enough skills to give characters enough justice. But I do have the makeup abilities!

I think cosplay requires a lot of confidence too! I have tried cosplay in the past but was never truly happy with what I had created.
