Therefore you are gaining nothing from adding milk first apart from the slightly reduced temperature resulting in slower sugar dissolution.

Unless you wanna bring up the calculation of how hot the water should be to optimally dissolve the milk I reject that logic.

OK I accept that, but I am still adamant that it is too hot to taste test a freshly brewed cup of tea even after milk is added.
