1. Because first and foremost, I know Kelly. I know her character. 2. Because historically women aren't believed. 3. Because this community is so deeply rooted in misogyny and abuse that men have often felt like this behaviour is passable. There's a lot of reasons why.
I really think that people who make false r*pe claims are the scum of the earth, that being said, women don't gain anything from making fake allegations. Coming out is terrifying and I honestly believe no amount of clout it worth it for a fake claim.

I referred to a friend I had earlier. She was abused by a boyfriend. I told her to report it to the police. I was supportive. It was only when he was seeing another girl, she reported it in spite. Like a jilted ex. My old friend is actually with him now 10 years on.

It’s not about what you gain. This so called clout is typical trolling. It’s about what he loses. That is somewhat your gain. And again, to clarify. I am taking no sides. I have concerns with anonymity in these situations.
