Dear makeup artists and body painters, #BLM is not a makeup trend for you to bastardise and benefit from. If you want to support the #BlackLivesMatter
movement, please educate yourself, share meaningful resources and amplify the voices of your black peers.

For sure, I imagine a lot of people have good intentions when they make bodypaints/makeup looks around this, but especially when there's been no research beforehand into the movement, it just comes across as self serving.
If you are going to make art to further the movement, you should use this opportunity to share resources, create a dialogue and do what you can to make a difference. Otherwise, it's only going to benefit the individual.
