Dear makeup artists and body painters, #BLM is not a makeup trend for you to bastardise and benefit from. If you want to support the #BlackLivesMatter movement, please educate yourself, share meaningful resources and amplify the voices of your black peers.

Your last stream had the BLM hashtag. In general, accusing other people for doing the exact same thing you were doing loses you credibility.

I used my stream to educate, share resources and encourage support. I did not create a makeup look based around the movement for clout.

You had an opportunity to contribute meaningful discussion and share those resources and information, but instead you chose differently. I do not disagree with the intent, you obviously care a great deal and that is wonderful. But perhaps the judgement call you made was wrong.
