I got an adjustable lumbar support chair from @secretlabchairs for around $500, the Titan 2.0. It's so comfortable I use it for work as well as gaming.

Herman Miller is incredible, and they do not cost 1k My posture has improved greatly due to it, and my body is less sore after a full day of sitting.

The Herman Miller chairs I am looking at right now are considerably over 1k.. £1299 as it happens

They are worth the investment but don't solve the pain
Only working out and shit does unfortunately lol -

Definitely don't need to be spending that much. I bought this one and it has an adjustable lumbar portion and adjustable neck. Being mesh it's comfy too https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GNDDNMW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 …

I just saw you comment on being able to put your feet on the ground also, I'm 5ft 3 and can put my feet on the floor with this one

Are chairs with adjustable backs worth it? Yes. Do you have to pay quite that much for one? No.
