I do makeup and body paint regularly on my channel! We vary from more macro beauty details to full scale cosplay designs with makeup! 
Didn't take anything as an insult. If I used any other colour background you wouldn't be able to appreciate the illusion that slims the waist. I just thought it was a weird piece of unsolicited 'wisdom' as it's quite obvious black hair and black bg isn't a good mix.
