There is a difference between a host and an analyst. A good event has a mix of them both, there are casters who can engage the audience, fill in dead space, and those who can commentate at a high level. If this event was only top tier player casting, it would be v boring.
Example of this: @FalconeHS is v good at driving conversation, engaging the audience and filling in the void periods when there is nothing to commentate. Accompanied with someone who can high level commentate the game, they're perfect.

Yeah, also- and I feel people need to keep being reminded this: the event is not exclusively FOR top level raiders. People watch this that don’t even play wow. They don’t know what a weakaura is or what corruption gear does. With only top raiders casting it could be gate-keepery

V true. The fact that this event is inclusive to all is a big part of its success - even my friend who has never watched WoW can follow along and understand.
