I think at this type of event only top tier players should be casting. Games like Csgo is a bit different due to casting hype etc. With that’s being said, there is no down side to having someone on the couch to represents the majority of the player base.
There is a difference between a host and an analyst. A good event has a mix of them both, there are casters who can engage the audience, fill in dead space, and those who can commentate at a high level. If this event was only top tier player casting, it would be v boring.

@FalconeHS is v good at driving conversation, engaging the audience and filling in the void periods when there is nothing to commentate. Accompanied with someone who can high level commentate the game, they're perfect. -
Yeah, also- and I feel people need to keep being reminded this: the event is not exclusively FOR top level raiders. People watch this that don’t even play wow. They don’t know what a weakaura is or what corruption gear does. With only top raiders casting it could be gate-keepery

Exactly. Sports casters aren't exclusively made up of former professional players. Overwatch League casters generally aren't at the top of the game either. Being entertaining and able to translate what's going on to casual fans is extremely important.
