The amount of times I have to ask not to be called “babe, baby girl, honey, wifey” is insane as well. Like I literally ask and their next message is “sorry baby” ??? Even when we make it clear such advances aren’t welcome they still go ahead anyways. that’s an innocent example.
I agree, I have a no-'babe' policy, unless you're a woman and we're friends. It makes me feel flat out uncomfortable, or when dudes are like zomg i love you.. why? you don't know me, i don't know you, the feeling is not mutual. stap.
I don't get the babe, sweetie, honey-names when talking to a "stranger". To a close friend, family member or lover, sure. But to a normal friend or stranger.... Just use the person's name. It's literally what a name is meant for. 
Yep, really, my skin crawls when people treat me in these kinds of romantic ways. I don't know why I even have to say it so much for people to respect my boundaries.
