Anyone know how to deal with the constant crashes in Borderlands? Accepting all advice. I have: verified game files, updated graphics driver, changed ingame settings incl full screen, fog off etc.. I need help.

Do you have missing videos at the start of the game (2K and Gearbox splash screens)? I had some bad errors and a couple of crashes that apparently was down to a missing Windows codec. That said, they were rather infrequent, so if they're common, I would suspect drivers

Sorry, at work, so I'm a little slow to reply. When starting the game, do you get the 2K / Gearbox splash screen videos when you start the game?

Tried updating my drivers but it made the game unplayable. It's super weird. Someone else mentioned a windows update issue too?

Unplayable?? O.o that sounds definitely like your drivers/DX is struggling. The Windows Update is the Media Feature Pack, which is an optional patch that includes some codecs and a few other things. If you however have those videos at the beginning, that shouldn't be necessary.

You can TRY to install it just to see if it does anything, just search for Media Feature Pack and download the most recent (I can't send you a link, as it'll default to a Nordic one, based on my IP location, which isn't the correct version for you)

Well, I'm guessing that's unrelated then, sadly - because then you should already have the patch it includes
