Do you have missing videos at the start of the game (2K and Gearbox splash screens)? I had some bad errors and a couple of crashes that apparently was down to a missing Windows codec. That said, they were rather infrequent, so if they're common, I would suspect drivers
Anyone know how to deal with the constant crashes in Borderlands? Accepting all advice. I have: verified game files, updated graphics driver, changed ingame settings incl full screen, fog off etc.. I need help.

You using Nvidia? If so, try rolling back your drivers to the one before 400

Had a sort of same issue with it not responding when launching it got stuck on the claptrap (and crashing sometimes) Apperantly it had to do with Direct x12 Not sure if its the same but mby
