It’s the last one for the day.

Then you will be provided with a hotel and the next avail flight. That's the standard procedure. They will probably also hold your luggage at the airport.

I've taken a lot of flights, been delayed a lot and missed a ton of connections. Never had to buy a hotel or a flight as a result of a missed connection.
