The straw ban is dumb and hurts disabled people who genuinely need them. If you want to save the damn oceans, STOP EATING FISH. Most of the plastic in the ocean is from discarded fishing nets

I’ve just bought metal ones I’m going to start carrying but appreciate it’s not practical for everyone. It would be great to see all bars stocking paper straws and checking in that they haven’t fallen to bits (as they can) if a patron is particularly in need.
Yeah I think it's v important that paper straws are stocked, they aren't my favourite for obvious reasons, but if you aren't prepared to take your own metal straw then that's the alternative. I totally agree.
