Passed through some makeup counters this morning (no makeup on) and it's amazing how people treat you when you have nothing on your face. I think makeup technicians in stores should always open with a question about how much experience you have with makeup. :>

Like silica in makeup. It's main purpose is to help keep your skin dry and remove excess moisture (the same way you find silica gel bags when you buy certain products) and the attendant tried to tell me it was used in some other way. It's my own personal preference but I don't -

Like the way silica feels on my face. It gives a really smooth barrier. It's often found in primers or powders, particularly products that feel overly smooth if you rub them into your skin.
