Like silica in makeup. It's main purpose is to help keep your skin dry and remove excess moisture (the same way you find silica gel bags when you buy certain products) and the attendant tried to tell me it was used in some other way. It's my own personal preference but I don't -
Like the way silica feels on my face. It gives a really smooth barrier. It's often found in primers or powders, particularly products that feel overly smooth if you rub them into your skin.
Oh and while I'm here, silica also causes flashback in photos, so if you're wondering what caused these.. It's a silica based powder that isn't visible without flash photography!
