I almost always go makeup shopping without makeup, explicitly to try and colourmatch shit to my current skin tone... Usually I have to almost force them to help me because idk, my non-made face makes them think I'm not actually buying/interested or smthn???? lol
Oh man, you can't win. I guess it can't be helped, you can't have an expert working in stores suggesting things, but I dunno. I feel like they're giving really bad advice.
Yeah, I am terrible at colour matching (which is why I go and ask for help with my bare ass face HAHA) and 3 times I've been matched so wrong the foundations have been unusable T_T I can't imagine how frustrating their "advice" are when you actually know what you're doing too...
I made the mistake of correcting somebody once, never again. I wasn't rude about it, but she was PISSED. Mostly I just humour them if they drag me over to their counter and stuff in case they have targets to reach or smtn.
