There’s still IVs in the game! They changed EVs to something called “Awakened Values” though which is the same but just less limited... we’re already confirmed to go back to our regular gameplay for the future too, so nothing to worry about
I tried to justify the lack of EV and IVs with - it's a remake of pokemon yellow, but there's shinies and mega.. Do you think pokemon will get simplified down in the future generations?OOOOH, I've been misinformed. I'll probably get on it at some point. Still need to buy a switch

it is not considered as a "main game" - so gen 8 will be released 2019 with all the competetive aspects as abilities and stuff :) Lets go is only for getting the "casuals" from GO into the main games
