Sorry Zonda, but you do not speak for all partnered streamers. Dear Affiliates, you do you boo boo! I like to see how hard you're working, and I also like to see Twitch rewarding you for your hard work. Your successes do not dull anybody else's shine. https://twitter.com/LTZONDA/status/1005184158774284288 …

Now from a streamer who has been on the grind for 4 years: . Be humble, don't let your successes make you feel entitled. . Be consistent, keep your schedule, grind hard if you enjoy it. I used to stream 7 days a week, 10 hours a day. . Be respectful to other streamers, big & smol

Continuing my tidbits of advice: . Don't give up your day job, YET. I worked part-time even while I was a partner. . Collaborate with others, dual streams, be organic, and for the love of bloody god, stop f4f.

I think the main thing that helped me is to stop caring too much about growth, and play what I enjoy. It's butthard to grow in the WoW category lately, but heck, I enjoy it and maybe when BFA launches and/or Classic, things will change for me!

Totally 100% agree. Sometimes jumping on the hype train will get a couple extra followers/subs or whatever, but if it doesn't make you happy, then ultimately it's not good for you. It's why I decided to be fulltime variety and play things I love!

It's also more enjoyable to watch someone that has tons of fun with a game/activity, instead of looking at someone who plays the game because it's good for viewers and secretly hates it.

I remember when CS was insanely popular, everyone told me to play it because it would be good for my stream. :< Played for one day and hated it. Some of my best streaming experiences were playing obscure derpy games.

Could never get into CS either, I had the same with Minecraft, which actually was good for my stream for a bit, till I got bored of it, haven't seen all those new viewers since. (Also, not really the audience I want)
