It's also more enjoyable to watch someone that has tons of fun with a game/activity, instead of looking at someone who plays the game because it's good for viewers and secretly hates it.
I remember when CS was insanely popular, everyone told me to play it because it would be good for my stream. :< Played for one day and hated it. Some of my best streaming experiences were playing obscure derpy games.
Could never get into CS either, I had the same with Minecraft, which actually was good for my stream for a bit, till I got bored of it, haven't seen all those new viewers since. (Also, not really the audience I want)
