It does not? I have never said it did. I tried to understand the point of view of both affiliates and partners and went to word it in a reasonable way. I do Twitch for fun now, part time. I do not rely on Twitch, but tried to help express the opinion of some partners who do.

I'm not bothered by it either. "My mate Tony" will also not grow his channel or build any brand unless he puts in the effort. All this change does is allow affiliates to brand themselves properly which was tough back when we went for partnership. Partners used to tell me not to-
-add a donation button until I was partnered; I'd always see complaints about it on Twitter. Partnership is still an acknowledgement of hard work. No one has lost anything by this change. More money to the platform is only a good thing.
Who cares if people get a sub button early? Good for them if their loyal few viewers want to subscribe to them.
