The affiliate program is not about Twitch supporting smaller streamers, its a business decision rolled out to make money. Instead of rewarding hard working streamers who maybe don't reach partnership requirements, they've just given "everyone" the same reward.
It does not? I have never said it did. I tried to understand the point of view of both affiliates and partners and went to word it in a reasonable way. I do Twitch for fun now, part time. I do not rely on Twitch, but tried to help express the opinion of some partners who do.
