Now from a streamer who has been on the grind for 4 years: . Be humble, don't let your successes make you feel entitled. . Be consistent, keep your schedule, grind hard if you enjoy it. I used to stream 7 days a week, 10 hours a day. . Be respectful to other streamers, big & smol

Continuing my tidbits of advice: . Don't give up your day job, YET. I worked part-time even while I was a partner. . Collaborate with others, dual streams, be organic, and for the love of bloody god, stop f4f.

Main thing I got from this is some streamers act like they’ve got a sense of entitlement
-
Lots of people have this sense of entitlement, partners, affiliates, and sometimes it's good to know your worth, but also we need to stay humble and not lose ourselves to ego.

I follow you on everything- new features, all of it, iit's awesome. He mentioned that getting affiliate is very easy and the requirements are low. I agree with that. Do you not think the requirements are low?
-
Sure the requirements are low but it doesn't take away the fact that there are non affiliates and affiliates that work just as hard as partners to do what they do. Complaining about a change as small as customisable sub badges is a really materialistic way of looking at it imo.

But you seem to be agreeing with me? My point exactly is that twitch is not rewarding hard working streamers, they just reward "everyone". If you actually read my tweets, you'll see I am trying to help explain why some partners may seem annoyed with the affiliate program.
-
I agree ONLY with the first paragraph. I think the opportunity to monetize your content, even early on is a great feature and I certainly do not feel annoyed by the affiliate program.

The thing I’m confused about is that anyone would be upset about affiliates being paid earlier. Now I’m freelance, it honestly matters so much to know you’ll be able to pay the rent etc.
-
I am shocked that anyone could ever be mad about that, honestly. I feel if partners are feeling intimidated by affiliates getting new features, you'd have to be quite insecure about your own content.
