The path to remote work will be inconsistent and imperfect. For me, having a home office is a key to success. I wonder how many homes can support this ?
An issue for businesses is tax implications around where their employees can work. A WFH misconception is people in a higher cost of living area might think they can keep their salary and move to cheaper area... don't be surprised if employer would adjust to cut costs.
Overall though I think its a good thing being able to have the WFH option. Hopefully the movement will keep moving forward.
Same. I'm a remotee for life at this point. But I also live in Silicon Valley & wouldn't change. Partly cuz it's home, but also cuz of how easy it is to meet up w/colleagues (in normal times), even if we all mostly work from home.
