    My offer: 7 yrs, $200M, front loaded to this yr. Because they won't go after a big FA this yr, just give him $50M this yr alone as back pay, then it's 6yrs at 150M after that (30/30/25/25/20/20). Clearly I'm not a GM, but this seems fair to me without mortgaging the future.

    The *right* thing to do would’ve been to empty the stadium at the beginning of the game to eliminate the lasers. Or call the game/postpone it a day and play in a closed stadium. Clearly player safety didn’t matter though.

    Can’t believe there’s nothing FIFA can do about the laser pointers in the stands. Not saying EGY got screwed, but what was allowed to happen there was definitely dirty.

    Like others, I'm struggling to care about the upcoming CLE baseball season. Bad rebrand, no meaningful changes to MLB structure post lockout, and poor roster management will do that. (Seriously, how have Zimmer, Mercado and Johnson not been DFA'ed yet?)
